FOUR CORNERS – The Sewer District is building an $8 million water treatment plant in the Four Corners area, to be completed by 2020.
With the rapid growth of Four Corners, the Water and Sewer District say the water treatment facilities need to expand.
But property owner Clinton Cain says he’s not excited about having to sell his land for the new treatment system.
“I really don’t like it,” said Cain. “I would like to keep the property but I don’t really have any choice. Either I say no and go to court or I say yes and go along with them. Well, I would rather say yes and go along with them but on the other hand, they are gonna have to pay the appraisal value plus whatever it costs me to move.”
Officials say the plans have to proceed.
“We are currently at a capacity of about 80-85 percent and we are growing,” said Kevin Kundert, General Manager Four Corners Water and Sewer District. “To meet the need of the district we need to expand our treatment capabilities”
