Spanish Peaks, a golf and ski development located on Andesite Mountain at Big Sky, was recently purchased in July 2013 through a partnership between CrossHarbor Capital Partners (owners of the Yellowstone Club) and Boyne Resorts (owners of Big Sky Resort). On a side note, these same entities have just finished a deal to purchase Moonlight Basin resort.
Representatives for the resort have just announced the first membership terms under the new ownership AND since the Chapter 7 bankruptcy that took place in October 2011. In an October 4 article in Explore Big Sky by Joseph O’Connor, the new membership terms were outlined.
According to John Romney, chairman for the ad hoc committee, the club is welcoming back previous members and signing up new ones. Homeowners/landowners that owned property prior to the 2011 bankruptcy will be invited back with no membership fee. Returning club members will get 80% of their cumulative dues back upon selling their properties. Refunds are being given to returning members who lost out in 2011. The club is reserving the right to remain a private club but will likely increase national memberships (those for non-homeowners) and golf/ski memberships. Currently the number of golf/ski memberships is capped at 395.
Non member skiers will have access to the Sacajawea and Lewis and Clark lifts but will not be able to use other club ammenities. Club members may ski on these lifts without purchasing a Big Sky resort pass.Click on tabs below for membership information.
