The nonprofit Bridger Biathlon Club has two agreements to buy Crosscut Ranch and Bohart Ranch Cross-Country Ski Center in Bridger Canyon to build a 500-acre world-class Nordic ski venue.BBC co-founder Eric Love said his organization has signed a three-year lease and purchase agreement with Jackson Financial Group, which acquired the 259-acre Crosscut Ranch at auction in March. Love said BBC has also come to terms on an agreement to purchase Bohart Ranch Cross-Country Ski Center.“No words can describe it,” said BBC board member Kari Swenson, a member of the bronze medal-winning U.S. women’s relay team at the 1984 Biathlon World Championships. “It is exciting, overwhelming. It is a dream come true to offer this to the skiers of our community.”BBC, which formed in Bozeman last fall, aims to raise $10 million by Nov. 15, 2017, to complete the purchase of the two properties, and for infrastructure upgrades.Love said BBC has already installed a new state-of-the-art biathlon range at Bohart with 12 Olympic targets and two Paralympic targets. Infrastructure upgrades will include the opening of approximately 30 kilometers of cross-country ski trails on the Crosscut Ranch property and may include upgrades to some buildings.
