The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce sent out this informational notice of upcoming meetings to allow the public to comment on the traffic/highway issues that have been thrust onto center stage in Big Sky, due to several traffic fatalities and the non-stop stream of work trucks heading to the booming construction trade in the area.
BIG SKY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETINGS ON HIGHWAY TRANSPORTATION ISSUES
The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce will hold a series of neighborhood meetings to address our community’s surface transportation system. Three meetings are planned to allow local residents with varied work and play schedules to participate in discussions. The discussions will be designed to address topics related to how our roadway system impacts the Canyon, the Meadow and the Mountain Village.
A vision for the area’s transportation system should be a collaborative process and may take into consideration the capacity of the roadway system, short term needs for maintenance, speed limits, trail linkages and more. Your input is needed to help define the future transportation investment framework for our community.
